=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report - March 30 === (My Sportsbook) - The Timberwolves tallied a 94-88 win over the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center Monday night. Kevin Garnett finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, as he led the T'Wolves past Houston. Sam Cassell added 24 points for the Timberwolves, who remain in first in the Midwest Division and pulled within two games of the Western Conference leading Sacramento Kings. Latrell Sprewell finished with 15 points and seven assists, as the Timberwolves won for their second straight game despite being outscored 46-24 in the paint. Minnesota shot 42.5 percent from the field in the winning effort. Wally Szczerbiak finished with nine points off the bench. Garnett hit what turned out to be the winning shot on a 10-foot jumper over the outstretched hand of Yao Ming with 18 seconds left. Yao had a chance to tie it, but his jumper from the top of the key hit off the rim and Sprewell came down with the rebound and was fouled. He hit both from the line with eight seconds remaining and Cassell added another pair from the charity stripe with 1.7 seconds left to round out the scoring. The Timberwolves ended a four-game losing streak in Houston that dated back to a 90-88 victory on Nov. 3, 2001. The T'Wolves have a day off before returning to the court to battle the Seattle SuperSonics Wednesday night at the Target Center. Minnesota is 27-10 in its friendly confines this season.
